IDEXX R&D Engineering – Environmental Graphics

JL Design collaborated with the R&D Engineering department to address the environmental branding of their newly designed space within the global campus. Our goal was clear: let's reflect the 'ah ha' moments of technological innovation, the creative spirit of this staff and its innovative leadership. Working together, we interpreted our clients sketches, CAD renderings, and verbal explanations of these key moments; what happens when a blood cell travels through the lazer beam's eye or how an R&D engineering team member noticed that a spinning top of a child's toy, in concept, could reflect the Catalyst carousel. We then translated these into illustrative moments that were printed on the frosted glass panels down the main corridor of the new space. We are so proud of this collaborative result and the process we went through working with our clients, who were super patient to provide such visual and verbal insight for our creative interpretation.
